OVI is an influential food company that puts quality and innovation first. We are looking for an experienced purchaser to take care of packaging and raw materials. They will strengthen our purchasing department and support them in realising our ambitious goals.
Your responsabilities
As purchaser of packaging and raw materials you are responsible for making effient and cost-effective purchases. You play a crucial role in sustaining continuity and quality of our production chain.
- Negotiating with Suppliers: Negotiate prices, quality, and delivery terms with suppliers of packaging materials such as cans, foil, and glass to secure the best deals.
- Inventory Management: Manage and optimize inventory levels to ensure sufficient materials are available without creating overstock.
- Organizing Tenders: Prepare, execute, and evaluate tenders for packaging materials and raw materials.
- Issue Management: Handle and resolve issues related to deliveries, quality, and other procurement-related matters.
- Optimization Projects: Initiate and implement projects to improve the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of procurement processes and inventory management.
- Internal Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicate and collaborate with internal departments such as production, logistics, and quality to align procurement needs and optimizations.
Your ingredients
You have the following qualities:
- Minimally a bachelors degree in purchasing managament, logistics, business or comparable.
- A minimal of 5 years experience in a comparable role, preferably in the food industry.
- Excellent negotiation- and communication skills.
- Experience with inventory management and purchasing processes.
- Analytical skills and problem-solving mindset.
- Experience with or knowledge of ERP-systems and purchasing software is a plus.
- Experience with packaging materials such as cans, foils and glass is a plus.
- Good communicative skills in Dutch, French and English.
